NEDs Chess Quest

Now in addition to NED’s Mindset Mission, NED’s Kindness Adventure and the Original NED Show, NED's Chess Quest teaches students how play chess and gain new life skills in an engaging, interactive 45 minute show.

While on vacation in England, NED discovers a very old book in a used book store. When he purchases it and looks through its pages, he finds an ancient treasure map tucked inside its binding. The map is alive and directs him toward treasure on a distant magical island. Along the way he must pass several challenges with the help of guides such as Percival, Ignatious McKnight and several other memorable characters who, unbeknownst to the students, are teaching them the movements of chess pieces and the very game of chess.

We have Partnered with Chess4Life, America’s leading chess education organization developing life skills through chess.

After the assembly parents may sign up their kids for initially free online chess lessons, fun chess learning games and so much more.

The Chess4Life online platform is being used by many students and teachers, schools and school districts across the country.

NED's Chess Quest is another no-cost NED show.
We offer it to schools at a no charge and gain our value as parents choose to further their student’s enthusiasm for chess online.

Chess for students is a great academic catalyst as it trains the mind, increasing strategic thinking, concentration, and problem solving which are all qualities that are hallmarks of future successful marketplace contribution.

In the show your students will not only learn the basics of chess play but also other important life skills such as teamwork, positive mindset, and resiliency.

During NED’s Chess Quest each student will earn a graduation “Passport” showing that they learned the 10 basic principles of playing chess! For this accomplishment we give them a free chess set which is inside their “Passport”.
